The tools and objects you should prepare include a wide-tooth comb, a shampoo, a conditioner, and a basin. Here are the steps for washing your human hair wigs at home, and there are some tips you should notice before washing them. 

1. Firstly we need to use a wide-tooth comb to brush through the wig before cleaning it. Wigs made of real hair are very realistic and natural. It is recommended to comb from the end of the hair, first comb the knotted part of the end of the hair, and then comb it up slowly.

2. Then take a basin of warm water. Don't use hot water, otherwise, it will damage the wig. After all, the wig made of human hair is relatively special, which will lead to the dry and dull hair quality of the wig. Put the wig in and get wet, then squeeze some shampoo into the palm of your hand and rub the foam.

3. After foaming the shampoo, smear it on the wet wig, then gently press and rub the wig with your fingers, and rinse it with warm water for about ten minutes. If your wig is not very dirty, just wash it once. If it is very dirty and has been placed for a long time, it is recommended to simply clean it again.

4. In order to make the hair quality of the wig better, it is recommended to use a conditioner.  After washing the shampoo, apply conditioner to the wig and wash it off after five minutes.

5. Human hair wigs are not much different from real hair. It needs more careful care than ordinary wigs. After washing the wig, you can't dry the wig with a hairdryer. It's best to put it in a ventilated place and let it dry naturally. If the wig made of real hair is blown by a hairdryer, it is easy to damage the hair quality and shorten the service life of the wig.

Note:

- It's best not to wash human hair wigs too often. When you wear it every day, you can wash it every other week to two weeks in summer. In winter, it is recommended to clean it once a half month or a month.

- Never wash in a washing machine. The strong rotation of the washing machine may cause a large number of wigs to fall off.

- Wash the wig with warm water. When washing the wig, first soak the wig in warm water (15~30 ℃) for about 5 minutes. Overheating of the water will reduce the life of the wig.

- Natural air-drying. After washing, you can't use a washing machine to dry it, or use a blower or put it in the sun to dry. Naturally air-drying after absorbing water with a dry towel is the most correct way.

- Shampoo should be gentle. Use a small amount of gentle shampoo with manual scrubbing. Do not use too much force or soak for a long time.

- Store wigs with ventilation. Although wigs are not real hair, you should also consider the air permeability when storing, otherwise, the residual moisture and shampoo will easily corrode the wig.

About the maintenance of wigs:

1.  Don't fold: when you don't need to wear a wig, you'd better hang it up and don't fold it。 Otherwise, it will lead to wig deformation and even folding marks. Wearing such a wig will also greatly affect beauty.

2.  No pulling: the wig cannot be pulled too much, otherwise the wig will lose hair seriously over time. You must wear it carefully when you wear it. You can use it a few more times! Practice makes perfect~

3.  Try to avoid exposure to the sun and rain: wigs are different from real hair. Even wigs made of real hair. Therefore, it is best to avoid exposure to the sun and rain when wearing wigs, and spray gel water on wigs when necessary.
